This episode balances revenge and romance perfectly, with excellent pacing and so many satisfying, emotional moments that I didnβt want it to end. Her ex Cody is so greedy, shameless, and persistent that he refuses to leave Hannah alone even after she rejects him clearly. He harasses her constantly, begs her for money, and spreads disgusting, false rumors about her being involved with the mafia just to ruin her reputation. His petty, cruel behavior is incredibly infuriating to watch. But when Alex stops holding back and steps forward publicly as her husband, putting Cody firmly in his place and warning him to never come near her again, it is one of the most satisfying, empowering moments in the entire show. That overprotective, dominant energy not only saves Hannah from her nightmare but also blurs the line between their contract marriage and real, growing feelings, making their chemistry impossible to ignore.
