The guy turns down the proposal at first, all polite “I can’t accept this,” but little Leslie is having none of it. She’s straight-up begging: “No, I don’t wanna go… All the other kids have moms. I want one too.” Then she hits her dad with those big eyes: “Daddy, say yes, please.” Kid knows how to work the room.
He lays it out clear: “Think of it as a partnership. You get a fortress of influence, Leslie gets a family, and I get to deal with a problem. Sounds like a fair exchange, don’t you think?” Peter finally caves with a reluctant “Alright. If you’re serious about this, I’m in.”
Cut to that hilarious stem camp phone call — Mr. Rogers roasting them for duct-taping her badge: “She’s 6, not a prototype!” And the reply? “Innovation over perfection.” Classic dad energy.
Ends with the guy telling Rida to prep a special welcome gift for Leslie… and “please a ring that fits.” Already on it. These shorts flip from emotional to chaotic in seconds. I’m still hooked.
