Movie Review

That injured character waking up all confused – “Why are we in the palace? What the hell is going on?” – and learning the Queen Mother saved them? Total whiplash after the last part’s chaos. Then the son-in-law drops that bomb: he’s made a private agreement with Yunqing for life and is dead set on establishing her as the later, no matter what. “Whether you agree or not, the son-in-law will definitely overcome all difficulties.” Bold as hell. The Queen Mother hits back with the condition – if he really wants to take a stand, he has to pass the test of the Ai family first. That “but” at the end left everything hanging. The whole scene feels like pure power struggle and reluctant alliance vibes, especially with that mention of “demon power” after the Ming and Qing Dynasties nobody’s agreeing to. These short parts keep twisting the knife on succession drama and secret deals. I’m sitting here like “is this gonna blow up or actually work?”
